Allandale Farm is established.

Operated by the Lawrence family, it is located land located on the former Harris farm on the estate of Mary Bryant Pratt Brandegee (who inherited it from her grandfather, William Fletcher Weld) at today’s 259 Allandale Road (283 Newton Street). It becomes a commercial operation in 1968 and is the last commercial farm in Boston (more than half of the property lies in Brookline).
